Details >Next to hand picking, gravity concentration is While, in the twentieth century gravity concentration has been partially replaced by other processes, notably flotation and magnetic separation, they have not made it obsolete.
Details >Sepro’s Falcon Concentrators are high G-force units that improve the efficiency of fine recovery. Each of our three models has a specific purpose and situations where it can help optimize your project. With this in mind, our team is often asked which concentrators can perform fine gold recovery.
Details >. Separation is used to separate and gangue with a large difference in their Specific Gravities. Chromite, tin, tantalite and various heavy metals are amenable to this principle. Some gold ores contain Free Gold which can be recovered by separation and this is the traditional method used in artisanal gold mining.

Details >Jig concentrators are devices used mainly in the mining industry for mineral processing, to separate particles within the ore body, based on their specific gravity relative density. The particles would usually be of a similar size, often crushed and screened prior to being fed over the jig bed. There are many variations in design however the basic principles are constant: The particles are introduced to the jig …

Details >Mineral processing can involve four general types of unit operation: comminution – particle size reduction sizing – separation of particle sizes by screening or classification concentration by taking advantage of physical and surface chemical properties and dewatering Mineral processing can involve four general types of unit operation: comminution – particle size reduction sizing – separation of particle sizes by screening or classification concentration by taking advantage of physical and surface chemical properties and dewatering – solid/liquid separation. In all of these processes, the most important considerations are the economics of the processes and this is dictated by the grade and recovery of the final product. To do this, the mineralogy of the ore needs to be considered as this dictates the amount of liberation required and the processes that can occur. The smaller the particles processes, the greater the theoretical grade and recovery of the final product, but this however is difficult to do with fine particles as they prevent certain concentration processes from occurring. Comminution is particle size reduction of materials. Comminution may be carried out on either dry materials or slurries. Crushing and grinding are the two primary comminution processes. Crushing is normally carried out on "run-of-mine" ore, while grinding normally carried out after crushing may be conducted on dry or slurried material. In comminution, the size reduction of particles is done by three types of forces: compression, impact and attrition. Compression and impact forces are extensively used in crushing operations while attrition is the dominant force in grinding. The primarily used equipment in crushing are jaw crushers, gyratory crushers and cone crushers whereas rod mills and ball mills, usually closed circuited with a classifier unit, are generally employed for grinding purposes in a mineral processing plant. Crushing is a dry process whereas grinding is generally performed wet and hence is more energy intensive. Sizing is the general term for separation of particles according to their size. The simplest sizing process is screening, or passing the particles to be sized through a screen or numb…

Details >Concentration. Concentration involves the separation of valuable minerals from the other raw materials received from the grinding mill. In large-scale operations this is accomplished by taking advantage of the different properties of the minerals to be separated. These properties can be colour optical sorting, gravity separation, magnetic or electric magnetic and electrostatic separation, and …
